About
My primary interest revolves around my research - which to me is, understanding, appreciating and wondering at the beauty and complexity of nature. Being a geoscience graduate, I dabble with fluid inclusions and ores to probe into the deepest mysteries of nature.
My Research
Genetic consideration of orogenic gold deposits is best evaluated by integrated studies related to deposit scale structures and metamorphism with inputs from ore mineralogy, alteration geochemistry and physico-chemical considerations pertaining to nature/evolution of the ore fluid, with emphasis on transport and precipitation of gold.
One of the major components of the study is to quantify greenstone metamorphism and concomitant fluid flux along major crustal scale brittle-ductile shear zones, because of the broad metamorphogenic derivation of auriferous fluid and strong structural control of these deposits. Additionally, establishing ore fluid diversity is another important constituent, because of varying nature of host rocks both in terms of composition and metamorphic grades.
