Prof Beckett’s research interest is the stress physiology of symbiotic organisms (e.g. lichens), bryophytes and poikilohydric plants. He has active international collaboration with Russian Academy of Science, Kazan, Moscow State University, the University of Hamburg, and the University of Zittau.
