About

I'm currently a Professor of Philosophy in the School of Philosophy and Ethics at UKZN. My active research is mostly in cognitive science (especially addiction and decision making), philosophy of cognitive science, and philosophy of science. I've also done some work in metaphysics. I completed my PhD in 1999 at the University of Natal (Durban), with some time as a visiting student at King's College, London. I've also been a visitor at St John's College, Cambridge. My photograph was taken in September 2007 half way up Kilimanjaro.
